Mea Kanu Studies is a series of monotype prints incorporating mixed media techniques such as gilding, painting, pochoir and drawing. Botanical impressions are pulled from real specimens and layered over painterly fields of color, pattern and shapes.

 

These prints are part of a larger scope of work exploring place, assimilation and how the resultant contextualization affects self.
